Gatton Jubille Golf Club 18 hole course
Gatton's 18 hole course features some unique and challanging holes. Just a few of the best below:
The 1st is a double dog leg and although not particularly long requires accurate shot making.
The 2nd (photo on the left looks up the fairway from the green) is 499 metres and is one of our holes that rewards the medium to long hitters: 1 Metal, 3 Metal and Wedge will get most to the green which is long, narrow and fast, especially down hill.
The third is a par 3 of 141 metres with an elevated green. To reach the green requires a high shot over trees which guard the green. The trees are 15 metres short of the green so the hole can be quite challanging for all but the big hitters.
The 5th is our 1 index and is 396 metres, out of bounds to the left with the fairway running right to left. The right hand side of the fairway is lined with high trees all the way to the long and fast green which has a right to left slope on the front tier.
The Index 4 18th is a 208 metre par 3 is all uphill to a Large, Fast and Sloping green. It has only been holed in one once and that was more than 30 years ago and since the club's founding in 1934 there have been many attempts.
